The start

The start

The start of this, well I have to give credit back to a fellow small buisness owner The Corner Of Craft. I found here channel on YouTube and bead weaving again through her videos. I had done some when I was young, before the age of YouTube but hadn't done so for many years. Well, I still had all the seed beads and thought let have a go.

Not the best as you can see but I came to realise some of the problem was that I was using cheap seed beads of which all had slightly different sizes and as you can see in the photos they were a little distorted. So, I looked up delica beads and loved the ideas of all the possibilities.

Then a thought crossed mind, for years I have done some many crafts mostly knitting and crochet but throughout everyone has always said you should sell that, you should open a shop, you should join a craft fair. We'll for some reason I thought let's do it no time like the present. From that Rooporium was born.

I had created the YouTube channel before a idea of a shop for a way of exploring my creative endeavours with other people. The channel is likely to change but right now there is not a great over all plan in place but this will come in time.

So, let's move away from the YouTube tangent and move back to Rooporium. Where to begin? That is all my brain kept saying so that is what I have been doing the last couple of months, with just plodding through from one thing to the next just trying to figure out how to do all of this and admittedly probably staying a bit to long on the design side (the real fun stuff) but now back on track as you can see with both Etsy shop and now a website of my very own (I just can not believe that I just want to pinch myself).

Right let's get to this blog. This blog I will be using to show you my creative life, whether that be things to do with the website, shop or designing. It maybe showing you other creative avenues I explore that you may have a interest in. That is me saying the blog is still a working progress but it will get there, just like me with this big steep learning curve I have been on and will continue, so come join me with where this adventure may go.
